Religious Festivals

Over the years different religious festivals have come about - here is a list of the most common:

  • Fasting Festival: (January) Give thanks to the Goddess today by fasting for one day.
  • Time of Places: (February) A time to honour the place where you are and give thanks.
  • Son Day: (March) celebrates the return of the Son.
  • Day of Rebirth: (April) it celebrates the flowering of life, symbols of eggs are often used.
  • Green Druid/White Priest Day: (May) feasts and games are held.
  • Summer Solstice (June) - A celebration of the North Star
  • Sing Festival: (July) A celebration of tales, songs and dream telling.
  • The Day of the Dead: (August) Families remember the departed by telling stories about them. This is a great day of celebration and sometimes amulets are made to help us remember the departed and celebrate their lives.
  • Moon Day: (September) This is held under the auspices of the Moon and is a joyful celebration of the protection the Moon has given us.
  • The Last Harvest Festival: (October) A celebration of food and farms.
  • The Day of Forgiveness: (November) we ask the Goddess to forgive our faults and work renewed for her Glory. A joyful time where old wrongs are put aside.
  • Yule Solstice (December)
