Taken from a recent letter to the Algaia...

As the Summer of my Life fades gently into Autumn I find the days themselves grow strangely longer. My Eternal Love still defends our homelands across the seas, and each moment I am without him weighs heavy on my heart. Though the love I have for the Algaia peoples knows no bounds, I have found myself negligent and neglectful in matters of State. To this end although I remain Queen of Lyonesse I will appoint three Guardians to tend to the land. As well most of you know, three is a most mystical number and each Guardian will represent a different aspect of our peoples.

Larn Velandor, Warleader of our people, I appoint thee the Body of Lyonesse. You will be the sword to smite the foes of our people and the shield to defend its shores. From this day forth you shall be Cala'Dai, the Dragons Breath. Draw to you the Swords of the Goddess, steel them in the fire of faith and serve your people with every ounce of your being. Show the people of Lyonesse how to be Warriors.

Danahil, Lorekeeper of our people, I appoint thee the Mind of Lyonesse. Let the knowledge and wisdom you bear guide our peoples into the future. Enlighten them in the ways of our kind and prove beyond all doubt that the quill can be mightier than the sword. From this day forth you shall be Anten falethryn, the gift of words. Guide them in how to over come adversity with words and not weapons. Show the people of Lyonesse that their strongest weapon is their intellect.

Prince Matalosse of Thorunriun, I appoint thee to be the Spirit of Lyonesse. More than any others the Noldori know what it is to be the fulcrum in the cycle. Let the peoples of Lyonesse never forget who they truly are and from whence they came. From this day forth you shall be Calad im duath the light in the darkness. Be the spiritual beacon to our people; show them to stand for their beliefs and to never waver from the cycle. Show the people of Lyonesse what it means to be an Elf.

This Council of three speak with my voice on matters of Lyonesse, to question them is to question your Queen and in his absence, your King. Follow their actions and words, learn from them and strive to better yourselves. Serve the Algaia well and bring Light into this world which is oft shrouded in Darkness and Shadow.

May the Blessings of the Goddess be upon you all.

Queen Morel of Lyonesse
